The Worcester High School crew defeated the Freshman eight over the mile and a half course on Lake Quinsigamond Saturday afternoon, winning by a length of open water in 8 minutes, 7 seconds. The school crew got ahead at the start, and, rowing a stroke of 40 to the minute, gradually increased the lead. The conditions for the race were very favorable to the lighter crew and their quick stroke, as there was but a slight breeze blowing down the course.
