The first of the series of five lectures for the benefit of the Prospect Union, by Professor Bliss Perry, Editor of the "Atlantic Monthly" and formerly Professor of English Literature in Princeton University, will be given in Sever 11, at 4.30 this afternoon. The subject of the lecture is "Thackeray" Admission will be by ticket only. Tickets for the course at $3.00 and single tickets at 75 cents may be obtained at F. L. Baunke's and the Prospect Union, Cambridge port; Amee Brothers', Cambridge; The Women's Educational and Industrial Union, and the Old Corner Bookstore, Boston.
