The collection of Scandinavian books in the University library will soon be increased by many new volumes, the purchase of which has been made possible by a gift of five hundred dollars from Mrs. E. C. Hammer of Boston. Last year Mrs. Hammer made to the University a gift of the same amount, and a portion of this was used, at her suggestion, to provide for a concert of Norwegian music.
