There will be a meeting of the University Debating Club at 6 Story street tomorrow at 4.30 o'clock to arrange definitely for a series of lectures on the history of public speaking, to be given this winter in the Union by members of the Faculty and others.
The Sophomore debating team has chosen the affirmative side of the question, "Resolved, That the present parliamentary system of France is better suited to insure the political welfare of the French people than a presidential system such as exists in the United States," for the final class debate with the Juniors on December 19.
The Senior Debaters have accepted a challenge for a debate against Bates College. It will probably take place some time after the Christmas recess and before the Mid-years. The question has not yet been decided upon.
