Thirty-five men came out for hockey practice on Artificial Pond, Saturday. Two scrub teams were formed and played against each other most of the afternoon. There will be practice every afternoon as long as the cold weather lasts.
The prospects for a strong team this year are very good. Winsor, Rumsey and Goodridge, forwards, Penhallow, coverpoint, and Manning, goal, of last year's team, have returned to College. Pruyn, substitute forward, is also available. The only vacancies are those left by Hardy, point and Laverack, forward. Although a general call for candidates has not yet been made, some very good new material has already come out.
A practice rink of the same size as the St. Nicholas Rink will be built for the team on Holmes Field at once.
