Sophomores Win Debate.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Sophomore-Freshman debate last night was won by the Sophomores, who supported the affirmative of the question "Resolved, That a system of compulsory arbitration of strikes should be adopted in the United States." The Sophomore team was composed of W. H. Nelson, E. M. Rabenold and J. W. Scott, and the Freshman team was composed of S. J. Gilman, R. D. Tapham and C. L. Dillon.

The Sophomores won by establishing a definition of the question on which the Freshmen could not meet them. The individual work was fair, but the debate was unsatisfactory as the two sides met upon no point except the interpretation of the question.
