SLOW PLAYING.

The practice yesterday was not encouraging; the playing was somewhat ragged and the backs were slow is starting. There was no fumbling, however. In the 20 minute half the first eleven made two touchdowns and a goal from the field.

Several new men have been taken on the squad since Saturday. They are H. W. Locke '02, J. F. Kidder '05, R. E. Sard '05 and A. Crocker '05. The injured men are all improving. Blagden has returned to the training table and will play today. Campbell is in good shape and took part in the signal practice yesterday. Both Kernan and Ristine have recovered from their injuries and took part in the line-up yesterday.

The first touchdown was made in three minutes of play by Bowditch getting the ball on a fumble near the second's goal line. No goal was tried.

Marshall ran back the next kick-off 20 yards. The play was made slower than before, but Ristine finally scored the second touchdown. Again no goal was tried. The second was given the ball in the middle of the field and advanced it to the 25 yard line through the poor defense of the first. The second was aided by a penalty of 5 yards for interference and the recovery by Morse of a forward fumble. The first held on the 25 yard line and Putnam by good running advanced the ball to the second's 20 yard line, where Marshall made a drop kick from the field.
