Yale, 12; Princeton, 0.

Yale defeated Princeton on Saturday 12 to 0, in an interesting and satisfactory game, which gave a clear idea of the merits of both teams. Yale was slightly superior in every department, and the score indicated accurately the difference between the two teams. Contrary to expectations the Yale line was not greatly superior to Princeton's in strength, but, as was the case with the entire team, it had a clearly defined method in both defense and offense. Individually Yale was strong at the tackles, although no capable substitute for this position was shown. At end Swan played a brilliant game, but Gould was not above the average. Behind the line Chadwick, Weymouth and Hart worked well together, and supplied all the elements of a simple, straight attack. The Yale team was a good, evenly developed, intelligent eleven, but showed no remarkable strength in any one department.
