The Freshman football squad, numbering about a hundred and fifty, began practice yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field. The men were divided into eight squads, each in charge of a temporary captain, and twenty minutes were spent in dropping on the ball and passing. No other elementary work was given, and the practice ended with a run up Boylston street and the Parkway and back to the Locker Building. The coach-was done by J. L. Knox '98, assisted by C. O. Swain '00 and W. Nickerson '03.
