The question at the meeting of the Freshman Debating Club last night was: "Resolved, That the army canteen be abolished." The debate was awarded to the negative, upheld by H. F. Obear, J. T. Smith and K. C. McArthur.

The subject for debate next week is: 'Resolved, that anarohy in the United States should be restrained in some definite way." H. H. Coryell, G. G. Smith and E. B. Vaughan will speak on the affirmative, and B. Newman, N. Rothenberg and O. Pomeroy on the negative. At the next meeting officers for the first half-year will be elected.
