At a meeting of the Chess Club yesterday the following officers were elected: C. T. Rice 1G., President; A. C. White '02, Vice-President; G. E. Hyde '03, Secretary; P. S. Estes '01, Treasurer; G. W. Baker '04, fifth member of the Executive Committee.

The College tournament will commence next week, and is open to all members of the University. As usual an entrance fee of 25 cents will be charged. Blue books have been placed at Leavitt's Sanborn's, and in the billiard rooms at the Union, and entries will close on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
