Arrangements have been made for a checker match with Brown in Cambridge November 2, the day of the Brown football game. The Harvard team will be picked by means of the University tournament to be held next week, the entries for which close tomorrow night. The six winners in the first round will constitute the team to play Brown. Bluebooks for entries are at Leavitt's, Sanborn's and the Union. Cups for the winners are on exhibition at Leavitt's.

A match with Yale is being arranged, and will probably take place the morning of the Yale game.
