The basketball team will play Yale tonight at New Haven, the date having been changed from February 16, owing to the shortness of Yale's season. The present Yale team has played together for four years and is accordingly very fast, especially in offensive play. It has beaten practically all the strongest college teams in the east. There is almost no basis for comparison between Harvard and Yale except that Salem was defeated by Yale 19 to 12, but won from Harvard by the score of 23 to 18.
The active period of Harvard's training has come only lately with the use of the regular gymnasium floor and the opportunity to practice throwing regular goals. The passing and the offensive work in general is well developed, but the team is weak on the defensive and at goal throwing.
The team has been coached by J. K. Clark 2L., who played for four years on the Yale team and was captain in his last year at Yale.
Harvard's line-up will be as follows: c., Fenwick; l.f., Underwood; r.f., Gilles; r.g., Lehmann; l.g., Jennings and Hanavan.
