According to present indications Harvard will not be largely represented in the fifty-seventh congress, which assembles March4. In the Senate, Henry Cabot Lodge '71, of Massachusetts, and Boies Penrose '81 of Pennsylvania, continue in office. The terms of George Frisbie Hoar '46, of Massachusetts and Edward Oliver Wolcott L. S. '75, of Colorado expire at the close of the present session, and the legislatures have not yet made new appointments.

In the House, of ten Harvard men who were members of the fifty-sixth Congress, seven have been returned, but no other Harvard men have been elected. The list now stands as follows: From Illinois-Henry S. Boutell '76. George E. Foss '85, and Vespasian Warner L. S. '68; from Massachusetts - William H. Moody '76 and Henry F. Naphen L. S. '78; from New York - Lucius N. Littauer '78; from Rhode Island - Melvile Bull '77.
