Courses at the Summer School.

Circulars, giving a brief announcement of the palns for the 1901 Summer School, have been sent to teachers throughout the country. The regular catalouge of the school will be ready for distribution in about two weeks. The circulars that have been printed outline the arrangements that will be made for the students, state the cost of tuition and of board, and give also, a list of the courses that will be offered.

To the courses which were given last summer the following for 1901 have been added: "English History," by Dr. A. L. Cross '95, University of Michigan "The Theory and Practice of Freehand Drawing." by Dr. Ross; a "Technical" and a "Historical and Literary Courses in Music," both by Mr. Spalding; "Analytic Courses in Morphology and Ethnology of Plants," by Mr. Oliver. For the course in "Middle High German" which was given last year a course in "German Literature of the Classic Period" has been substituted.

The Summer School will open on July 5 and close on August 15. The committee in charge of the school is made up of Professor Shaler (chairman), Professor Hanus, Professor Sanger, Mr. Love and Mr. Hurlbut.
