Forty-eight men are now trying for the football team at Princeton. The work up to this time has been merely preliminary practice in the elements of the game.

A Princeton militia company has been organized and has been mustered into the New Jersey National Guard as one of the companies of the Second Regiment. The organization will wear the regular uniform of the National Guard, and muskets have been secured from the state headquarters.
