An artificial bathing beach for the use of the general public is being laid out on the Cambridge side of the Charles river just above the Longwood bridge. The beach will be 800 feet in length and the breadth at low tide 180 feet. A raft has already been set out, with buoys and life-lines. During the summer, bathing houses will be provided free of charge and suits may be rented at a nominal cost. The now beach is a part of the Cambridge park system. It will be ready for use by the middle of next month.
