A recent article in the Princeton Alumni Weekly gives some interesting statistics in regard to the normal age and average expenses of Princeton undergraduates.

In 1899 the average age at graduation was 22 years, 4 months and 11 days; in 1879, 21 years, 11 months, 27 days, and in 1870, exactly 21 years. This shows a gradual increase in age of nearly two years during the last 30 years.

The table of expenses, including all expenses except those incurred during summer vacation, showed that the average expense in 1899, for the four years course, was $2,773; in 1892 it was $3,012, showing a decrease in the last seven years of $239.
