The graded crews have undergone several changes during the last few days, especially those at the Newell Club. Biddle, who began rowing on Monday, went in at 7 in the first boat, Sheafe changed to port and Lawrence returned to his old place at 5. McConnell moved back to 3, and Harding sent Bullard to the second boat. Blake, who also began rowing on Monday, went in at 7 in the second crew, sending Swaim back to 3. The present order of the Newell crews is:
First--Stroke, Higginson; 7, Biddle; 6, Sheafe; 5, J. Lawrence; 4, Fitzgerald; 3, McConnell; 2, Harding; bow, Goodell; cox., Howe.
Second--Stroke, Brownell; 7, Blake; 6, Gale; 5, Henderson; 4, Gilchrist; 3, Swaim; 2, Bullard; bow, Morris; cox., Jackson.
A third Newell crew was formed in the following order: Stroke, Gerrish; 7, Merritt; 6, Brigham; 5, Rainsford; 4, Smith; 3, Ware; 2, Cunningham; bow, Jackson; Cox., Shattuck.
At the Weld the first crew is rowing in the same order as last week, and in the second the only change is Morrill at stroke in place of Locke. Wadleigh has begun work again and has taken Booth-by's place in the coxswain's seat of the first boat.
