Barristers Win Leiter Series.

The Barristers defeated the Dew Drops 6 to 5 yesterday in the final game of the Leiter cup series. The game was exciting throughout, although neither team played a good fielding game. The Barristers were not much stronger than the Dew Drops, but their hits came more opportunely and their errors were less costly.

The work of the Barrister battery, Came and Feary, was very good, especially when there were men on the bases. The rest of the team played erratically except Beale and Gray, both of whom fielded sharply and accurately. Winsor and Putnam, the Dew Drop battery, played in better form than usual, but the errors made by the rest of the team invariably counted for runs.

The Dew Drops scored once in the first inning, but the Barristers took the lead in the third and at the ninth inning had the score 6 to 3 in their favor. The Dew Drops then made two runs, but with two men on bases Gray made a pretty stop that ended the game.
