JUNIORS WIN THE MEET.

The class track games held yesterday afternoon on Holmes Field resulted in an easy victory for the Juniors with a total of 44 1-2 points. The Sophomores were second with 31 points and the Seniors third with 25. The Freshmen scored only 7 1-2 points.

The track was in very good condition but a strong wind blowing up the back stretch made the distance runs rather slow. Still the time in the short sprints and hurdles was very fair. Several new men showed up well especially J. G. Willis '02 who won the low hurdles and finished second in the high hurdles, and J. E. Haigh '03 who won the 100 yards dash in 10 1-5s. In the broad jump, C. D. Daly '01, sprained his ankle so severely that he was not able to compete. D. Grant 2M., won the open University two mile race easily in 10m. 8s. In the pole vault Prouty tied Barnes but did not jump off and was given second.
