The Leiter cup series of baseball games began yesterday afternoon, but only two of the games scheduled were played. The Lobsters defeated the Cherubs 16-7, the Rubber Necks won from the Zazas 27-9, and the Minced Chickens and Boiler Makers won from the Snully Guzzles and the Hardly Ables by default.
The game between the Lobsters and Cherubs was exciting for a few innings, but toward the end the Cherubs fell behind. The game between the Rubber-necks and Zazas was too one-sided to be interesting. The Rubber Necks made runs at will, and the score was only prevented from being larger by their indifferent playing toward the end of the game.
