The blue-books left for subscriptions for purchasing the old bell have brought in $94.85, an amount probably sufficient for the purpose. The subscriptions were chiefly in amounts of 10 and 25 cents. Five dollars was the largest single subscription. The book at Memorial brought in 191 subscriptions, $33.95; at Leavitt's, 62 subscriptions, $32.25; at Randall Hall, 84 subscriptions, $9.65; at Sanborn's 37 subscriptions, $9.25, and at the Hasty Pudding Club, 34 subscriptions, $9.75. Of these amounts only $29.25 actual cash has been collected.
