Canvas of Rooms for Cubans.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Reports of the canvas for rooms and furniture for the Cubans were received yesterday from many of the College dormitories. 280 rooms were placed at the disposition of the Corporation. Fully one-third of these will be left with furniture and bedding. The canvas was not complete, as many of the students were out of their rooms. Not five per cent. of those visited refused their rooms. The Easter vacation interrupts what would have been a systematic report on all rooms. There is no doubt of the result when the men return.

The private dormitories were very imperfectly canvased. Almost every man in them who was visited, gave money or agreed to lend furniture or bedding.
