At a recent meeting of the Corporation it was decided to create the office of Inspector of Grounds and Buildings. The buildings and grounds have hitherto been under the supervision of the Bursar, but in recent years his duties have been so numerous that it was considered advisable to relieve him.
The Corporation has appointed Assistant Professor W. S. Burke to fill this new position. Under his instructions will be placed the head engineer, the head carpenter, the superintendent of grounds, and the superintendent of buildings.
On account of this new position, Professor Burke will be obliged to give up some of his engineering courses. He will, however, retain the courses in Metallurgy and in Heating and Ventilation, and he will continue the supervision of shop-work.
