Columbia won the first annual meet of the International Gymnastic Association, held in the Columbia Gymnasium, by a score of 26 points against 17 for Yale and 6 for Harvard. New York University, Princeton, Haverford" and Cornell also competed. J. de la Fuente of Columbia, won the all-around champion with 52 points, and E. L. Eliason of Yale, was second with 50. Harvard's six points were made by E. B. Blakely '02, who won the tumbling contest, and J. P. Jones '02, who was third best on the parallel bars. The other members of the Harvard team were unplaced.
At the annual meeting of the Gymnastic Association the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, E. K. Eliason, Yale; vice-president, J. P. Jones '02; secretary, E. T. Junior, Haverford; treasurer, John Aiken, Princeton; executive committee, E. L. Ketzenbach, Princeton; E. L. Eliason, Yale; R. H. Belcher, New York University, and C. Eastmond of Columbia.
