Yeomans Wins the Coolidge Prize.--Harvard Chooses the Affirmative.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At the final trial of speakers for the Yale debate, H. A. Yeomans '00, W. Morse '00, and E. Mayer '00 were selected to represent Harvard. M. Seasongood '00 was chosen as the alternate. The Coolidge debating prize was awarded to H. A. Yeomans '00. The debate was characterized especially by its forcefulness and occasional eloquence. There was lacking, however, a sufficient analysis and grasp of the vital issues. The judges were Professor Baker, Mr. I. L. Winter, F. W. Dallinger '93, and R. C. Ringwalt 2L. S. B. Rosenthal 2L., presided.

At a meeting held after the debate it was decided to choose the affirmative of the question submitted by Yale.
