Newell Boat Club

Work will begin Monday when the men will report according to their classes to the squad captains named below. For the first ten days the crews will exercise at the weights and take out door runs merely to put the men in condition for work on the water, which will begin at the earliest possible date. It is hoped that the weather will permit putting the crews on the river about March 13. The system adopted this spring offers to men who have not been on their class crews an excellent opportunity to make their class boats. They will receive the same coaching that has heretofore been given class crews and the uncertainty which boat will be the class crew gives new stimulus to the competition.

The times given below are merely provisional and will be changed to suit the convenience of the men. Permanent captains will be elected by the crews after the squads are well organized. 1900 will report to C. L. Harding at 5 p.m.; 1901, J. Lawrence at 4.30; 1902, M. R. Brownell at 4.

All Newell Freshmen report to F. L. Higginson, Jr., at 3.30; Law-School men to C.M. Sheafe at hour set by him. R. C. BOLLING, President.
