The Freshman Debating Club has elected the following officers for the second half-year: President, J. D Williams; vice-president, G. W. South; secretary, R Abercrombie; treasurer, G. W. Hinkley. The debate last night was won by the affirmative which was supported by D. P. Lockwood, W. H. Hubbard and H. J. Carleton. At the next meeting the question will be "Resolved, That capital punishment should be abolished." The affirmative speakers will be D. W. Howes, A. H. Weed, and J. S. Leopold. L Warner, C. A. Zanetti, and C. Brewer will support the negative.
