In spite of the bad weather yesterday afternoon, thirty-seven men went on the prize hare and hounds run. All the hounds were in one squad, and prizes were offered for the first six hounds to finish.
The hares, H. B. Clark '01 and H. S. Knowles '02, went up Garden and Bratt'e Streets, around Fresh Pond by road, and then broke on this side of the pond.
Coming back by way of Concord Avenue, they finished in front of the gymnasium. H. B. Clark won by about 20 yards in 39 minutes, 20 seconds The hounds, led by O. W. Richardson 2 L, started five minutes after the hares, and broke about a mile from the finish. The run in was very fast and close, and was won by C. J. Swan '01; second, F. B. Taylor 2 L.; third, O. W. Richardson 2L.; fourth, G. E. Behr Jr. '01; fifth, F. L. Carter '03; sixth, F. C. Williams '01. Time, 40 minutes, 22 seconds.
