General Curtis Guild '81 of Boston has consented to act as presiding officer of the Harvard-Yale debate in Sanders Theatre on Dec. 7. General Guild, while in College, was very prominent as a speaker and was class orator.

The debating club has also voted to hold a banquet previous to the debate at which the following guests will be present: Mr. William B. Hornblower, Judge Addison Brown, Hon. Oscar S. Straus--Judges of the debate; General William A. Bancroft, for the Corporation; Professor Baker; Professor Ames; C. P. Kitchell, coach of the Yale team; H. A. Yeomans 1G.; R. H. Edwards, President of the Yale Debating Club; and S. B. Rosenthal 3L., President of the University Debating Club.
