A meeting in the interests of the Tuskegee Institute for Negroes will be held tonight at 8 o'clock in Sanders Theatre. Professor Shaler and Mr. Booker T. Washington will speak.
Tuskegee is situated in the Black Belt of the South and is doing a large amount of good in educating the Negroes and raising their position. Mr. Washington is the principal at Tuskegee and it was by his efforts that this school was started and now has such an influence in the South. Mr. Washington received the honorary degree of A.M from Harvard in 1896.
