A circular has recently been sent out by the Lawrence Scientific School, containing the following regulation of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in accordance with which students may obtain both the A. B. and S. B. in five years. "Students who wish to take the degree of Bachelor of Science in addition to the degree of Bachelor of Arts may register in the Lawrence Scientific School after their third year in Harvard College (or after the satisfactory completion of fourteen courses counting towards the degree of Bachelor of Arts). They may obtain the degree of Bachelor of Arts on the satisfactory completion of the required number of courses counting towards that degree, and the degree of Bachelor of Science after at least two years in the Scientific School, the last year to be devoted to work prescribed by the Administrative Board of the Scientific School."
