Yale, 35; Carlisle, 0

Yale defeated Carlisle at New Haven on Saturday by the decisive score of 35 to 0. A change of policy in regard to the backfield will in all probability result from Yale's experience in the game. It was shown clearly that a set of light fast backs were much more efficient than the heavy men previously used. The creditable work of Dupee and Fincke, which may ensure positions on the team, to both, contrasted most favorably with the previous work of the Yale back field. Yale's play was fast and varied and on the defensive they sized up the Indian's trick plays with little difficulty.

In individual work, there were noticeable faults. The fumbling of the quarterbacks of both sides would have proved disastrous in any closely contested match; Dupee's punting was not of a first class order; and the work of Yale's ends, though better than usual, was not all that might have been expected. On the other hand, Fincke's running back of kicks, and Stillman's line lunging and the snappy work of the whole team in general was very satisfactory to the coaches.
