Only about one half of the freshmen football candidates appeared for practice Saturday. With what material there was, the usual practice of tackling and running down on kicks was held. Short halves in regular games were played, but owing to the necessity of transferring the candidates from their accustomed elevens, on account of the small number present, no estimate could be made of the work.
