The Freshman eleven defeated Groton at Groton Saturday afternoon by the score of 23 to 5. Although the Freshmen won by a good margin the old faults of fumbling, offside playing and holding were still evident and would have proved disastrous with a team of equal weight. An improvement was shown in center plays and general team work. The best playing for Harvard was done by Pruyn, Blagden and Skilton. Groton scored by a long goal from the field kicked by Rogers, Potter placing the ball.
