Fall Baseball Series Begins

The first of the fall baseball series of five games was played on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon between teams chosen from the two squads. The game started out well and promised to be a close one until the eighth inning, when Putnam's team made six runs. After this Marean's team slumped and allowed two more runs in the ninth inning.
