In the individual coaching of the candidates for the Yale university crew, who will be called out about February 1, a new plan will be adopted similar in a measure to the methods employed at Harvard last year. The candidates will be divided into class squads and each will be put under the charge of a head coach. This plan will be followed until the middle of March when the university squad will be selected and, as soon as the weather permits, will row on the harbor in fours or eights. The college crew will be formed and will probably have a race with some outside crew. Dr. Gallaudet '93, who coached the crew last year, has been officially re appointed head coach for the coming season.

The baseball team will play its first game on March 31 and will end the season by games with Harvard on June 21 at Cambridge, June 26 at New Haven, and, in case of a tie, on June 30 in New York. The schedule follows, omitting the Easter trip:

March 31. New York University, at New Haven.

April 4. Tufts, at New Haven.

April 7. Wesleyan, at New Haven.

April 21. Holy Cross, at New Haven.

April 25. Amherst, at New Haven.

April 28. Wesleyan, at Middletown.

May 2. Brown, at New Haven.

May 5. Columbia, at New York.

May 9. Dartmouth, at New Haven.

May 11. Andover, at Andover.

May 12. Brown, at Providence.

May 16. Lafayette at New Haven.

May 19. Orange A. C., at East Orange.

May 21. Georgetown at New Haven.

May 23. Lehigh, at New Haven.

May 26. Crescent A. C., at New Haven.

May 30. Brown, at Providence.

June 2. Princeton, at New Haven.

June 6. Vermont, at New Haven.

June 9. Princeton, at Princeton.

June 16. Princeton or Orange A. C., at New York or East Orange.

June 21. Harvard, at Cambridge.

June 26. Harvard, at New Haven.

June 30. Harvard, in case of tie, at New York.

Promenade week will begin on Monday and, during the week, the Sophomore and Junior Germans and the Junior Promenade will be held. For the promenade, the junior class of the college and the senior class of the Sheffield Scientific School have the first chance to buy boxes and, after they have been satisfied, the remaining seats will be sold at an auction open to the other classes. Last year the Promenade was, on the whole, a failure and, for this reason, no effort is being spared to make it a success this year.
