In one of the closest mayoralty contests ever held in Cambridge, Edgar R. Champlin L. '80, mayor during the past year, was re-elected yesterday. He defeated his principal opponent, David T. Dickinson '88, by a majority of about eight hundred votes. The city voted no-license for the fourteenth successive year by a majority of one thousand. W. H. Lewis L. '95, Thorndike Spalding '95, J. D. Merrill '89, and Stoughton Bell '96, were elected members of the Common Council.
