The Freshman football team defeated Groton yesterday at Groton by the score of seventeen to nothing. Derby and Stillman each scored in the first half, and then Stillman, with thirty seconds to play in the second half, ran seventy yards for a touchdown, on a fake kick. Groton was severely handicapped by an injury to Thayer, captain and quarter-back, in the first part of the game. The Freshmen played well, especially on the defensive. Captain Baldwin was again laid up. Stillman punted higher and better than usual.
The Freshman line-up follows: Bowditch, l.e.; McGrew, l.t.; Graydon, l.g.; Sugden, c.; Riggs, r.g.; Fox, r.t.; Clark, r.e; Baldwin, Daly, q.b.; Hersey, l.h.; Derby, r.h.; Stillman, f.b.
