The great activity shown in class debating this fall has resulted in the arrangement of the following debates with outside clubs to be held at different times during December:

On December 8 the Senior Wranglers debate with the Y. M. C. A. Congress in Association Hall, Boston. The question is: "Resolved, That Great Britain's claims in the controversy with the South African Republic are justifiable." The Senior Wranglers have the affirmative. The team is made up as follows: M. Seasongood, P. A. Atherton, E. E. Sargeant, and W. M. Chadbourne, alternate. R. L. Hoguet 1L. has been chosen as coach.

The Junior Wranglers have a debate with Boston University to be held in Boston, on December 14. The Junior Wranglers have the affirmative side of the question, which is the same in all four debates. W. Catchings, H. P. Chandler, W. S. Heilborn, and W. M. Eby, alternate, compose the team. H. H. Stipp 2L. is the coach.

The Sophomore Debating Club has arranged a debate with Exeter for Dec. 8, at Exeter. The Sophomores have the affirmative. The team consists of the following men: P. Fitzpatrick, J. M. Gates, W. H. Lough, Jr., and P.E. Letchworth, alternate. H. S. Bowers '00 will coach the debaters.

On Dec. 15 the Freshman Debating Club will hold a debate with the Worcester Classical High School, at Worcester. The team has not yet been made up, but will be selected in two trials to be held during this week. W. M. Chadbourne '00 will act as coach.

S. B. Rosenthal 2L. will have general supervision of the coaching of all four teams.
