Princeton defeated Yale on Saturday in a well-fought game which was decided only in the last minute of play by a goal from the field. The Princeton backs showed unexpected strength in line bucking, and with excellent interference, they gained repeatedly on end plays. As was shown in the first half, when Yale was held for downs on the five-yard line, Princeton's defense was very strong. On the other hand, Yale had the advantage of fine generalship and was quick to take advantage of every opportunity.

Princeton scored a touchdown and goal after twelve minutes of play, carrying the ball from the middle of the field by line-backing and by Reiter's 35 yard run around Yale's right end. Soon afterwards Brown blocked Wheeler's punt on Princeton's 10 yard line and McBride fell on the ball behind the goal-line, scoring a touchdown. Brown missed a difficult goal. Yale scored again in the first half on Sharpe's goal from the 45 yard line.

In the second half the ball stayed mostly in Yale's territory, but her strong defensive tactics were successful until Poe's goal from the 30 yard line.
