Civil Service Reform Club Reorganized.

A good audience listened to extremely interesting speeches from, Professor Hart, Mr. A. Lawrence Lowell and Mr. Richard H. Dana at last evening's reorganization meeting of the Civil Service Reform Club. After the meeting about thirty men joined the club, and the following officers were elected for the coming year: President, L. G. O. Smith '00; vice-president, R. H. Dana, Jr., '01; secretary-treasurer, J. B. Trevor '02; executive committee, the three above named officers, ex-officis, W. A. Heilprin '01 and Mr. F. J. Snite L. S.

The new constitution adopted restricts the active membership in the club to students in the University, but permits officers of instruction and administration or members of the National Civil Service Reform League to be elected as honorary members. Professor Hart, Mr. Lowell and Mr. Dana were elected as honorary members last night under this provision. The constitution calls for at least five receptions or smoke-talks to be held during the year, at which invited guests shall speak, and to which members may bring their friends. The first of these will be announced shortly. Men who desire to join the club, and old members who wish to renew their membership, may do so at any of these smoke talks, or by sending their names, with the initiation fee of one dollar to the secretary, J. B. Trevor, 27 Beck Hall.
