With only two of last year's team gone, the Shooting Team starts the season with unusually good prospects. The club has a large membership and there seems to be more interest shown than is usual at this early date. The men who will form a nucleus for the team are H. Sanford '00, E. Mallinckrodt '00, D. G. Kinney '02, H. Dana '00, B. Blake '00, and R. E. Edwards '02. These men have all been on the regular team at one time or another. The plan of the club differs from that of previous years, in that instead of one team there will be both a first and a second. The grading of the men will be made after the first practice on Saturday at Wellington, at which all candidates for the team will be present. The first match will take place with the B. A. A. in the first week in November. The intercollegiate shoot will be held at Wellington on the morning of the eighteenth of November, the day of the Yale game. Yale, U. of P., Columbia, Princeton and Harvard will be represented.
The building of the Shooting House and traps has been postponed on account of the making of the speedway. Within two weeks, however, the new quarters, some two hundred yards east of the old location, will be ready for occupancy.
The officers of the club are: president, H. Sanford '00; secretary and treasurer, B. Blake '00; captain, E. Mallinckrodt '00.
