The first games in the interclass football series will take place this afternoon at half-past three on Soldiers Field. The Seniors will play the Juniors, and the Sophomores will play the Freshmen.
All the class teams took rather light work yesterday, devoting their time more to perfecting signal-work and practicing particular formations than to actual play.
The two upper-class elevens seem almost evenly matched and should have a close and interesting game. The Freshmen, although handicapped by a slight unfamiliarity with their new signals, should defeat the Sophomores rather easily through their better team-work and heavier men.
