Of the men who rowed on the Yale varsity crew last June the following have returned to college: Stroke, W. B. Williams '00; 7, J. H. Niedecken '00; 6, Captain F. W. Allen '00; 5, F. G. Brown '01, and 2, A. P. Wickes '00. The men who rowed in the four-oar, J. P. Brock '00, R. M. Patterson '00, P. L. Mitchell '01, and A. Cameron '01, are all back. Other prominent candidates for the crew this year will be: J. C. Greenway '00, who rowed on the '97 'varsity crew, R. L. Atkinson '01, H. Auchincloss '01, and R. A. Magee '00 S. The most promising of last year's freshman crew are H. S. Hooker, A. H. Sharpe, A. S. Blagden and F. S. Warmoth. G. P. Chittenden '01, coxswain of the four, and M. K. Armstrong '01 S., are candidates for coxswain.
