The results of yesterday's matches in the fall tennis tournament follow:

S. A. Derby defeated H. R. Scott, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2; S. G. Morley defeated M. W. Rand, 1-6, 7-5, 6-4; C. M. Rotch defeated F. W. Palmer, 7-5, 6-4; H. Ward defeated S. G. Morley, 6-4, 6-4; R. A. Bidwell defeated J. Foster, 6-2, 6-4.

The first round of the doubles was also played with the following results:

Lang and Bowdoin defeated Bartlett and Brice, 10-8, 6-2; Wilder and Chessman defeated Wight and Partridge, 6-2, 12-10; Palmer and Drinkwater defeated Thacher and Gray, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2.

The following single matches will be played today: Ward vs. Rotch, at 3; Beyer vs. Roche at 2.

The double matches will be: Mason and George vs. Derby and Beeman, at 2.15; Hackett and Tuckerman vs. Bingham and Roche, at 3.30; Foster and Penhallow vs. Cross and Jenkins, at 3.15; Ward and Davis vs. Thompson and Bullard, at 4.15; Wilder and Chessman vs. Palmer and Drinkwater at 3.
