Fogg Museum Acquisitions

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Among the recent acquisitions of the Fogg Museum are three original paintings which were presented by Mr. Forbes. One of them is a portrait of a man by Tintoretto, the subject of which is unknown. There is an early Italian Madonna of the Fifteenth Century, and another unidentified picture of the same period belonging to the Italian or Flemish school. In the collection of antiquities on the first floor of the Museum are two new objects, a vase, and a fragment of a head which are both by Greek artists. The prints of Turner's "Liber Studiorum" and the collection of engravings and wood cuts by Albrecht Durer are still on exhibition.
