H. Ward 1900 and D. F. Davis 1900 won the New Jersey state championship tennis tournament on Monday by defeating C. F. Walz and R. H. Ryder, 6-0, 6-3, 6-2. The matches were held on the grounds of the Orange Lawn Tennis Club at Orange.

Ward has won two matches in the singles, and is now in the semi-final round. Davis was beaten in the semi-finals on Monday, by S. C. Millett, the champion of New York, 6-2, 6-0.
