In the Harlem Regatta yesterday, the Weld Senior crew defeated both the Bohemian Club crew and the Columbia 'varsity. Although the Weld boat got a poor start it succeeded in pulling up and passing the Bohemian shell at the half mile mark and won out by over a length. The crews finsihed: Weld senior first, Bohemian Club second, Columbia 'varsity third. Time 5m. 22 1-5s.
The Weld Junior crew was equally successful; it led the Columbia freshmen from the start and finished half a length ahead with the New York Athletic Club third.
Great credit is due to Donovan for his successful coaching and training of the two winning crews.
